976-SING was founded in February 1987, at the Ensemble Studio Theatre in Los Angeles, California, as part of a Friday night review in "The Titanic Lounge."  Through various incarnations the group continued for seven years appearing in comedy clubs and universities throughout the country.  They appeared in one motion picture and several television shows.
